Omar Mendoza 1993 Mexico City, an artist whose practice is based on the creation of paintings with natural colors as a form of poetic resistance against the loss of ancestral knowledge. His work explores change, memory and transformation. He has had solo exhibitions in prominent venues such as the Museum of Anthropology in Xalapa 2023 and the Steve Turner Gallery in Los Angeles 2024. He has participated in notable residencies such as the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, A-Studio in the Woods by ByWater Institut of Tulane University and Oak Spring Garden Foundation, among others. He was also awarded the Jóvenes Creadores scholarship from FONCA in 2022. His work is part of important collections in Mexico and abroad.
