“My work is about processing emotions, and creating surfaces for them to live. Grounding the paintings are recognizable figures, and motifs from architecture and landscapes. The initial sketch serves as a blueprint for the layers of concrete, graphite, and oil paint to harmonize into a surface reminiscent of a discarded city wall, made from concrete or brick, that’s been left and forgotten with only it’s marks left.”
